What is wrong
Titles on your pages are shorter than ideal, which means they do not use the full space Google reserves for them in search results. A title is the clickable headline that appears when your site shows up in a search result. When your title is too short, you waste the opportunity to tell searchers what they will find, and you may not include the keywords people actually search for.
Why it costs you
Short titles are less likely to answer a searcher's question clearly, which can lower your click rate from search results. Some pages may also miss out on ranking for related search terms because the title does not mention them. This directly reduces the traffic you earn from organic search.
How to fix it
Add more descriptive words to your titles so they reach closer to the full width available. Include what makes your page different or valuable—for instance, instead of "Services" use "Services | Fast delivery in London". Check your page template files (the HTML that generates multiple pages at once) rather than editing each page one by one. Look for the `<title>` tag and make sure it contains specific information about what visitors will see on that page.
What the audit tests
