What is wrong
A title tag is the text that appears at the top of your browser tab and in search results. When you use the same title on multiple pages, search engines cannot tell them apart. They see identical labels on different products, so they pick one page to show and hide the others from search results.
Why it costs you
This directly costs you visibility. Pages with duplicate titles compete with each other instead of each being found separately. Visitors searching for what those pages contain may find only one of them, or none at all. You lose potential customers to pages you never knew existed.
How to fix it
To fix this, log into your website's backend and edit each title tag to be unique. If your site uses a template—for example, a template for product pages or blog posts—add a variable field so each page's title automatically includes its own name or product type rather than copying the same static text. The title tag lives in the `<head>` section of your HTML, inside the `<title>` element. Every page needs its own distinct title that describes what that page is about.
What the audit tests
