What is wrong
Structured data is code you add to your pages that tells search engines what your content is about—for example, whether a page is an article, a product, or a review. Google's guidelines for articles recommend including certain properties like the author's name, publication date, and a headline image. Your pages have some structured data, but are missing some of these recommended properties.
Why it costs you
When structured data is incomplete, search engines have less confidence in what your content represents. This means Google is less likely to display your pages in special search result formats, like news carousels or rich snippets, that draw visitor attention. Visitors may never see your content in these premium positions even when your page is relevant to their search.
How to fix it
Add the missing properties to your article structured data. The most important ones to prioritise are the author (use the author name property), publication date (datePublished), and image (image URL). You will need to edit your page template or CMS settings so these properties appear on every article page automatically—do not add them individually to each page. Look for the existing schema markup code on your pages, usually in a <script> tag, and add the missing fields there following Google's article structured data documentation.
