Webpage SEO checker
Run every test we have on one page, in one click: how it looks in Google, its tags and headings, its words, its structured data, links, phones, redirects and the server behind it — all on one screen.
Every on-page test, on one page, in one click
Each of our other free tools answers one question about a page. This one asks all of them at once and puts the answers on one screen, with a summary at the top that counts the problems in each part. It is the place to start when you are planning a page's SEO: you see what the page says to Google, how well it says it, and what is getting in the way, before you decide what to change first.
Nothing here is a separate copy of the other tools. Each part below the summary is the same test, giving the same answer, as the tool it links to, so you can open any part on its own page for more detail.
What it checks
- How the page looks in Google: a preview of its title and description, cut where Google cuts them.
- Title and meta tags: the title, meta description, canonical and robots tags.
- Headings: the H1 to H6 outline, missing or repeated H1s, and skipped levels.
- Keywords: the words and phrases the page repeats most.
- Readability: word count, reading time, reading ease and long sentences.
- Canonical tag: whether the canonical address is one Google can use.
- Structured data: the page's schema, checked against Google's required and recommended properties.
- Link previews: the Open Graph tags that social apps read to build a preview.
- Phones: the viewport and zoom settings, and whether a phone gets the same page as a computer.
- Links: which links on the page are broken or redirect.
- Redirects, server response and HTTPS: the redirect path, status code, headers and certificate.
- Robots.txt and sitemap: whether the site lets Googlebot fetch this page, and whether its sitemap is valid.
Page speed is the one test that runs separately. It uses Google's PageSpeed Insights, which can take up to a minute, so the result gives you a button to run it on the page speed test.
One page, or the whole website?
This checker reads the one address you type. A fault on one page is often repeated across a site, and some faults only show up when pages are compared: duplicate titles, pages nothing links to, or canonicals that point at each other. For those, a free site audit crawls up to 300 pages and runs all 136 checks on each one.
Next: audit the whole site, or see every free tool.
