Is your brand named in ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews?
Any paid plan 5 minute read
Who it is for: Anyone being asked whether AI assistants mention them.
Three separate checks on the Insights page: whether AI assistants name you when asked real questions, where your brand is mentioned across the web and whether those mentions are positive, and what your Google Business Profile looks like as Google holds it.
Why it matters
A growing share of searches never reach your site. Somebody asks an assistant, reads the answer, and acts on it. If you are not in that answer you were not considered, and nothing in your analytics will tell you.
What to do
- AI search visibility — are you named in the answers? Whether assistants mention you for real questions that were actually asked. "Not found in any AI answer collected so far" is a result, not a failure to measure, and the panel says which it is.
- Brand mentions — who is talking about you. Mentions of your name across the web, and whether they read as positive. Useful before a pitch and useful when something has gone wrong and you do not yet know it has.
- Google Business Profile — your local listing. The profile Google holds for the site, its rating, and whether it sends people to you. It is charged whether or not there is a listing to find, because the lookup happens either way.
- Compare it with the AI Overviews check in your audit. That one is free and tells you whether your pages meet Google's published conditions for appearing. This one tells you whether anybody actually is. The two answer different halves of the same question.
What you get back
A record of where you appear outside your own site: in assistant answers, in other people's writing, and on the map.
How to make money from it
AI visibility is the thing clients are asking about this year and most agencies are guessing at. Being able to say "you are named in two of these eleven answers and your competitor is in seven" is a conversation nobody else in the room can have.
Worth knowing. The AI figures come from a provider that clusters questions by meaning, so several differently worded prompts can report as one. Read it as a signal of whether you are present, not as a count.
