LalaSEOBot
If this crawler visited your site, someone asked Lala SEO for a technical audit of it. This page exists because our crawler names it in every request, and a name that leads nowhere is no better than no name.
What it does
It requests pages, reads the HTML, and reports what it found to the person who asked — titles, headings, links, structured data, and the technical faults our checks look for. It does not submit forms, click buttons, buy anything, or collect personal data from your pages.
How to recognise it
It identifies itself on every request:
Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; LalaSEOBot/1.0; +https://lalaseo.com/bot)
The token to use in robots.txt is
LalaSEOBot. It will not change
without this page changing with it.
How to slow it down
We honour Crawl-delay, up to ten seconds:
User-agent: LalaSEOBot
Crawl-delay: 10
How to turn it away
Refuse it in robots.txt and it will stop:
User-agent: LalaSEOBot
Disallow: /
We read robots.txt before anything else and obey it. The one
exception is a person auditing a site they own, who may switch that off for
their own site — which is also why the crawl is rate-limited whether or not
you refuse it.
What it will not do
- It will never pretend to be a browser. The agent above says plainly that it is a crawler, with no Chrome or Safari token appended — a string that claims both is the signature of a crawler in disguise, and we would rather be blockable than look deceptive.
- It makes a small number of requests at a time, with a pause between them.
- It stops at a page limit and a time limit, every time.
If it is causing you trouble
Write to support@lalaseo.com and tell us the domain. A real person reads it, and we will stop crawling you on request — you do not need to wait for a robots.txt change to take effect.
